Ivan’s Tree Services

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the website, requesting an estimate, scheduling services, or engaging Ivan’s Tree Services (“we,” “us,” or “our”), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services.

2. Services Provided

Ivan’s Tree Services provides professional tree care and related services, including but not limited to:

  • Tree removal

  • Tree trimming and pruning

  • Stump grinding

  • Lot and land clearing

  • Tree planting

  • Emergency tree services

  • Topsoil delivery and grading

  • Mulch delivery and installation

  • Grass seeding and lawn restoration

All services are subject to site conditions, weather, safety considerations, and equipment availability.

3. Estimates & Pricing

  • All estimates are free unless otherwise stated.

  • Estimates are based on visible conditions at the time of inspection. Hidden hazards (underground utilities, decay, metal, debris, unstable soil, etc.) may result in price adjustments.

  • Written estimates are valid for a limited time and may change due to material costs, fuel prices, or site changes.

  • Emergency services may include additional mobilization or after-hours fees, which will be disclosed in advance whenever possible.

4. Scheduling & Access

  • The client is responsible for providing safe and unobstructed access to the work area.

  • We reserve the right to reschedule services due to weather, unsafe conditions, or unforeseen circumstances.

  • Delays caused by weather or utility coordination (DTE, Consumers Energy, etc.) are not grounds for cancellation penalties.

5. Safety & Property Protection

  • We follow industry safety standards (including ANSI A300 and ISA Best Management Practices).

  • While we take every reasonable precaution to protect lawns, landscaping, driveways, and structures, some minor disturbance (soil compaction, turf damage, sawdust, wood chips) may occur due to the nature of tree work.

  • Ivan’s Tree Services is fully licensed and insured, including liability and workers’ compensation coverage.

6. Utilities & Underground Hazards

  • We contact MISS DIG 811 when required; however, the client is responsible for identifying private utilities (sprinklers, invisible fences, septic systems, drain lines, lighting, etc.).

  • Ivan’s Tree Services is not responsible for damage to unmarked or improperly marked utilities.

7. Cleanup & Debris Removal

  • Standard cleanup includes removal of wood debris related to the scope of work and basic raking/blowing of affected areas.

  • Firewood stacking, chip hauling, or enhanced cleanup may be included or excluded based on the written agreement.

  • Wood chips may be left on-site unless otherwise specified.

8. Payment Terms

  • Payment is due upon completion of services unless otherwise agreed in writing.

  • We accept cash, check, and approved electronic payment methods.

  • Late or unpaid balances may incur additional fees and collection costs.

  • Returned checks are subject to a service fee.

9. Cancellations & Refunds

  • Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance when possible.

  • Deposits (if applicable) may be non-refundable once equipment, permits, or materials have been committed.

  • Refunds are not provided for completed services.

10. Warranty & Guarantees

  • Certain services (such as tree planting) may include a written warranty, which will be provided separately and supersedes general terms.

  • No warranty applies to work affected by Acts of God, severe weather, pest infestation, disease, improper maintenance, or third-party interference.

11. Emergency Services

  • Emergency tree services are performed to mitigate immediate hazards.

  • Temporary solutions (such as tarping or partial removals) do not constitute permanent repairs unless explicitly stated.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Michigan law, Ivan’s Tree Services shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services or website.

13. Intellectual Property

All website content, including text, images, logos, and graphics, is the property of Ivan’s Tree Services and may not be copied, reproduced, or used without written permission.

14. Website Use

  • Information on this website is provided for general informational purposes only and does not constitute professional or legal advice.

  • We reserve the right to update website content and these Terms & Conditions at any time without notice.

15. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan. Any disputes shall be resolved in the appropriate courts within Michigan.
